CONSERVATION & RESTORATION
Knowles have been maintaining the historic fabric of Oxford since Thomas Knowles took over the Oxford business of Townsend, the well known London builder in 1797.
Our skilled tradesmen and craftsmen have generations of experience of this type of work. This has been maintained and enhanced by craft and trade apprenticeships and long term relationships with our specialist supply chain.
We have carried out large and small scale restoration and conservation work for the National Trust, The Heritage Lottery Fund, Oxford Preservation Trust and the University of Oxford and Oxford Colleges.
