We have recently submitted a planning application to build a new student residential building on the House of Spice restaurant site in St. Aldates, Oxford.

The scheme includes the retention of the existing building façade, and the design and construction of about 50 new single en-suite study bedrooms that incorporate solar hot water, passive stack ventilation and solar gain shading.

To ensure we fulfil our ‘'duty of care' to the environment Knowles & Son has decided to implement an Environmental Management System (EMS) based on the requirements of ISO 14001, an internationally recognised Environmental standard.

This will be developed, monitored and maintained by our Safety, Quality & Training Manager and rolled out over coming months.
